Character Personality: Zeb's part on the Ghost is one that he does: the muscle. The Lasat takes pleasure in thrashing about Imperials with special relish and does his job as the brute of the crew well. Certainly to many his personality match his skills as a brute. He has the talent to be short with others, snappy, impatient, and generally irritable. People don't hang with him for his warm and fuzzy personality, in fact it can be a miracle if they can get past his hostile treatment of most he comes across. To him if someone is there to just screw with him or waste his time, they're don't deserve the fifty percent kindness he throws those closest to him. Looking at him from a stranger's point of view, you can just see him as a prickly grump with a sarcastic-word-a-minute repertoire. But hey, if he was a pushover nice guy, not as many missions would have been so successful.
But his grumpy personality isn't all about getting the job done, no the other half of that can be attributed to him slipping down the maturity scale from time to time. Pair him up with a moody teen like Ezra or a rebel like Sabine, and you can see that he has the attitude of a grouchy teenager (much to the chagrin of the Ghost's leaders Hera and Kanan.). Of course, he isn't all about muscle and general disdain for the world. Turns out he has some pragmatic critical thinking skills on the battle field. It comes with the territory of a former Lasat Honor Guard. After all, it takes some brains to maneuver through an Imperial Academy without getting caught. That doesn't stop him from getting himself landed into trouble, but he's got enough smarts to jimmy himself out of that tight spot and out into the clear (such as starting a gas leak and escaping from said TIE fighter explosion).
But is all of him dedicated to fighting the Empire? It's not so clear cut. There are times where he could have abandoned Ezra when it would be disadvantageous to their cause (such as when Ezra was held captive inside a Star Destroyer) but he made the choice along with the rest of the crew to follow after him. Still, he has a lingering anger at the Empire for what it did to his people, anger which can cloud his judgment (take him charging headlong into a fight with Kallus that would have ended in his death were it not for Ezra's little save with the Force). Zeb hates injustice being done to innocent people, especially injustice done at the hands of the Empire. In the end, it's what ties him to the crew of the Ghost: all of them have suffered from the hands of the Empire. Their fight against the Empire is what ties Zeb to his crewmates but it's his moments of actual empathy that anchor him down. Whether it's his older brother relationship with Sabine (in that he encourages Sabine's explosive habits) or his begrudging friendship with Ezra after him 'owing him', he's grown to become a fixture on the ship. Because somewhere in the prickly surface there's a Zeb that's willing to lend a helping hand to the folks that budge into his life.
Character Abilities: Above average strength dexterity of an ape, skilled at melee combat, able to scale walls with padded Lasat hands and feet, and able to wield and fight with a Bo-Rifle (a weapon exclusive to the Lasat honor guard).
Character Inventory: The Bo-Rifle, a melee staff equipped with two ends conducting electricity (intended to electify and incapacitate an opponent) which can easily compartmentalize into a rifle part for , a weapon bestowed only for the Lasat Honor Guard Reference image.
Interaction Sample: Have not one but two samples.
Third Person Sample: He could already hear the 'No Zeb' in his mind's Kanan. But even his ears refused to let anything in at this moment. The only senses attuned to him were his eyes and muscles. Each egg white helmet in his range met with a violent kick and thrash. He was a mass of fur weaving through the throng of troopers pressing inward, using every bit of their armor and force to crush him under the collective weight of the Empire. But Zeb pressed back twice as hard, tossing those who dared confront him head on into the tidal wave of Stormtroopers. As much as they were an army, he was a force, a beast unleashing everything he carried on his back for years. He wasn't a protester or a troublemaker, he was a Lasat Honor Guard.
But even then he never really saw the rush of trooper after trooper, no. He didn't feel their weight or the heated singe of air rushing by him from their blasters. One figure stood out in his eyes, one figure his hands yearned to grasp their neck in a deathly embrace. One figure in that throng that wore gray and carried those disgusting mutton chops. One figure that took everything of value to him. That's who he had his sights on. He would bring an end to Kallus once and for all. It didn't matter if blow after blow started to slow him down. It didn't matter if the distance between him and Kallus seemed innumerable.
He wanted revenge, it was a mantra thrumming through his combat-drenched skull. Even if his body slowed down, he redoubled his efforts, bringing a harder punch with each passing wave of the troopers. He was a crumbling bridge, his body wearing down to the point his fists could no longer rise...he had to reach Kallus... His ears perked ramrod straight, a nagging voice telling him it's time to go back. What did back entail? Kanan's consternation, Hera's sage insight, Sabine's humor, Ezra....he'll figure that out later. But going forward, what did it have? He groaned, closing his eyes as he began to turn away, batting back the clusters of Imperials dog piling him. Not much strength he had, but he had enough strength for this one last task. He was going back.
